This New Concept For A Self-Balancing BMW Motorcycle Looks Insane
For whatever reason car companies decide to drop futuristic concepts that never actually see the light of day, we can’t really be that mad at them either.
BMW is always on the cutting edge of teasing what cars will look like in the future but their new concept for what motorcycles could potentially be in the next few years is pretty mind-blowing.
With “efficient dynamics,” the frame and power unit actually reconfigure itself and bend depending on riding conditions ahead.
The new Motorrad Vision Next 100 concept is something straight out of a Will Smith sci-fi movie where robots rule the world and vehicles drive themselves.
The emission-less design would not only mean no exhaust but self-balancing artificial intelligence which means you wouldn’t even have to wear a helmet.
According to head of BMW user experience Holger Hampf,
“The bike has the full range of connected data from its surroundings and a set of intelligent systems working in the background, so it knows exactly what lies ahead.”
Of course the chances of us seeing this type of technology on the roads any time soon will be a stretch as BMW is doing this in part to celebrate 100 years of their brand’s excellence.
Still, to see these types of concepts actualized in photo-realistic images and HD videos with insane production value is something that anyone who loves the open road can enjoy.
