You Have No Excuse Not To Vote Now That You Can Register Via Snapchat
As the 2016 election approaches, it’s pretty much the same song and dance when it comes to who is actually going out there and voting.
In 2012, only 56% of millennials who could vote didn’t, leaving many to wonder if this year’s race will be any different.
This will be the first election millennials will match baby boomers as the largest generation voting in the US electorate.
According to AOL News, US citizens will now be able to register to vote via Snapchat, which is genius considering that the app reaches 41% of people between the ages of 18 to 34.
Snapchat partnered with theTurboVote to launch the initiative which runs until October 7th that could yield some serious results.
With celebrity backing with partners such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jimmy Fallon, the ads themselves will be placed within Snapchat stories in your feed and throughout the discover page.
The goal is to make the process virtually seamless and all you will need to do is mail in a ballot, which could pose a whole other obstacle for them when it comes down to it.
The US Presidential Election takes place November 8.
